More and more families travel with their children. Some families travel abroad, others prefer to travel around the UK. We are one of these nomadic families travelling with kids on a budget. Do you always search the internet for trip ideas, travel tips, cheap family breaks, child-friendly destinations in the UK? Yeap, we do too! But we also want to share them with you.

Travelling with children

Many friends had told us before we had children that we should have enjoyed ourselves then because once we had kids we wouldn’t be able to travel. Now, you know that’s not true. Travelling with children is fun. Yes, it is different and sometimes stressful but it can be done and it doesn’t need to cost a house. We travel on a budget and prefer walking holidays where we can discover places and enjoy the great outdoors.

Travelling on a budget

We have a tight family budget but still manage to take our children to amazing places this country has on offer. Beautiful beaches, wonderful countryside, stunning coastlines… Sometimes you don’t even need to go far. But you don’t need to stay in the UK either. Just recently we booked a family holiday in Portugal for £359 and that’s including plane tickets!

Trip ideas for families

Because we are nomadic parents and have adventure loving kids, we decided to blog about our trips and holidays hoping that our experience and travel tips can inspire you. However, we want to be inspired too! So, if you know a great place in England, Wales or Scotland please get in touch! We DO want to hear about it so we can put it on our bucket list too! We love hearing from like-minded people.
